Psychotherapy Intensives

Psychotherapy Intensives

Sometimes you are wanting more time to do the deeper exploration and healing work. In a fast paced world, this time can feel challenging to carve out for yourself.

A psychotherapy intensive is an immersive, often short-term, therapeutic experience that condenses a significant amount of therapeutic work into a shorter period. The idea is to accelerate the therapeutic process, allowing you to make increased progress in addressing emotional, psychological, or relational issues.

Psychotherapy intensives can be highly effective for people who need deep healing or transformation in a relatively short amount of time, or for those who are looking for focused, intensive work that may not be possible in regular weekly sessions.

What is it?

A psychotherapy intensive is:

  • a focused and condensed form of therapy
  • designed to delve deeply into specific issues or concerns.
  • different than traditional weekly therapy sessions involve longer, uninterrupted blocks of time
  • allows for a more immersive therapeutic experience

During an intensive, we will work closely together to address your unique needs and goals. The aim is to provide you with the tools, insights, and strategies to effect positive changes in your life.

What will we do?

During your therapy intensive, we will be incorporating a variety of integrative healing modalities to be pre-explored and defined during the preparation phase.

  • Uses a holistic approach with interventions for the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of your Self
  • Trauma informed
  • Uses body/brain-based modalities, somatic interventions, psychoeducation, journaling, creative art therapy interventions, nature therapy, inner child healing, shadow work, and more
  • Constructed using a depth psychology lens
  • Using Polyvagal Theory, the IFS Internal Family Systems Model, and Attachment Theory, and more

Because trauma and complex trauma impact all of our internal systems, the goal of utilizing this integrative and holistic approach is to most effectively nurture all areas of the Self, creating an overlap in the healing of various presenting symptoms. You will decide what you want to address in our intensive session, and I can make suggestions based on our therapeutic relationship and the intake session.

Benefits of a Psychotherapy Intensive:

  • Accelerated Progress
  • Deep Emotional Processing
  • Focused Attention, Increased Clarity, Improved Self-Awareness
  • Increased Motivation and Commitment
  • Shifting Negative Patterns
  • Privacy and Comfort
  • Supportive Environment
